The Private Lands Committee is responsible for ensuring that the maximum amount of property rights continue to vest with the land owner. The committee has its special area of interest, regulations, and actions by government that impinge on use of private land, such as zoning and other restrictions. The committee expends all effort wherever possible to prevent excessive governmental control over private land.
