Committees

The Oregon Cattlemen's Association is a membership driven organization with fully functional committees.

These committees serve as the catalyst for our organization and work to promote our cattle industry. They operate under three key principles: assuring environmentally and socially sound industry practices; assuring a strong political presence; and improving industry economics.

Land Resources Research

The Land Resources Committee fosters programs that will result in wise and responsible use of public and private lands. The committee also seeks to preserve the right of the rancher to make the decisions necessary to keep his land and his business healthy. The committee seeks to preserve property rights and the free enterprise system on that property. To do that, the committee is vigilant concerning the following: public agency proposals that could affect land use by cattlemen or could impact local economies; growth of public agencies and their interactions with cattlemen; increased decision making at the local level of government agencies; and promotion of comprehensive resource management for the highest production of both public and private lands.
