Opposition to the Wolf Conservation

and Management Plan

I am a hunter who has purchased an Oregon hunting license along with the following hunting tag(s) ____________________ for the                 (year) season. I utilize private lands to hunt and hereby go on record in support of the Oregon Cattlemen’s Association’s Ranch Rescue program opposing the Fish and Wildlife Commission’s Wolf management plan as it pertains to the following issues.

  1. It imposes a loss of private property rights by not allowing adequate protection of domestic livestock and pets.
  2. The Canadian Grey wolf does not belong on the Oregon Endangered species list.
  3. It does not establish “No Wolf” zones.
  4. There is no protection from or compensation for depredation or diseases that can be spread by wolves such as neosporosis.
  5. Problem wolves need to be terminated and not relocated.

As a hunter and purchaser of Oregon hunting licenses and tags, I fear that access to these lands may be limited if these issues are not resolved.
