Starting March 1st, all new Oregon Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) members will receive a ticket for the New Membership Recruitment Saddle drawing.  The drawing will take place during the 2008 Convention in November at Eagle Crest in Redmond.   Each person who recruits a new member will also receive one saddle ticket.  So, all new members will be entered once and all recruiters will be entered for each new member they recruit.   Please be sure to include recruiter’s name on new membership forms to receive a saddle ticket.  Tickets will not be sold!

OCA assists and represents ALL cattle producers through out the entire state on a daily basis on many issues.  OCA is NOT a "one or two" issue organization (click here for current list). It is dedicated to deal with a multitude of issue simultaneously in order to allow producers - large & small -East & West - to produce. OCA can only do this with memberships and leadership. Every single member helps to make OCA more powerful.  We pull together or we pull apart!  

Your membership includes a subscription to the Oregon Beef Producer filled with up to date information specific to the cattle industry. OCA offers college scholarships and provides educational opportunities for producers by sponsoring the Cattlemen’s College, Ranch Succession Planning Workshops, OSU Annual Cattlemen’s Workshop and the upcoming OSU Educational Seminar- Increasing Calf Value with Age and Source Verification.  Furthermore, we are working to enhance the image of cattlemen by dispelling myths, showcasing ranchers and publicizing facts about our industry; such as, privately owned lands support 70% of our state’s wildlife.
