 Agriculture Water Quality Management Plans (1010 Rules)
Oregon’s non point source controls are managed by Oregon Department of Agriculture through the implementation of agriculture water quality management rules (1010 rules). 
 
The state was divided by river basins and regulated activities for agriculture are in place, which direct landowners on how to protect streams and rivers from runoff on agriculture lands and prevent pollution from entering the waters of the state.

Section 319 of the Clean Water Act directs the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to work with states to formulate unregulated, voluntary, best management practices to control non point sources of pollution.
